We are seeking a full-time Director of Marketing to join our team. In this role you are responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy for a broad season of programming including dance, theater, music, comedy and institutional projects as assigned. This role oversees digital marketing with direct oversight of the Website Manager and Marketing Coordinator.
The Director of Marketing will collaborate with other departmental managers, such as the Director of Public Relations and the Creative Director, and will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing and PR.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing plans for a broad season of programming including dance, theater, music, comedy and institutional projects as assigned
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing, establish strong relationships with media channels and leverage buying power for best rates, promotions, and trade opportunities.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing, establish clear sales goals as well as develop budgets and strategies for increasing subscriber and single ticket sales for annual programs.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing, develop standardized marketing plans for assigned series, shows and events that address the needs of each series and performances
- Media sponsorships for assigned series and shows and events, involving where appropriate with other Kravis Center team members.
- Oversee direct mail efforts for sales of assigned series and shows and events.
- Create and implement dynamic subscription and package campaigns for assigned series and shows and events.
- Directly responsible for all settlements for assigned series and show events.
- Strategize and implement discount and flexible pricing strategies and ticket initiatives for assigned series and shows events
- Capitalize on cross-selling opportunities for assigned series and shows and events
- Report on performance ticket sales on a regular basis for assigned series and shows and events
- Regularly review data analytics and survey results to better understand ticket buyer and community dynamics.
- Work closely with IT and the ticket sales office to capture data, support excellent customer service, and develop such proactive sales tools
Qualifications/Experience:
- Five or more years of significant marketing or compatible experience with a sizable theater or performance related institution that includes actual ticket sales, promotions, advertising, subscription, and events, strategic and implementation of marketing initiatives
- A record of professional success in ticket sales through multiple disciplines of traditional non-profit marketing
- A successful track record as an exceptional communicator, in writing as well as verbally and the ability to work with complex budgets, data mining and analysis.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and key performance indicators for ticket sales analysis.
- Demonstrated management skills in motivating, directing and leading staff and consultants, and in coordinating and supporting the effective productivity of others.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position is a full-time, in-office role. Requires the ability to work extended hours as needed, including evenings and weekends, based on workload and project deadlines. Ability to sit for prolonged periods and move freely throughout the office environment to perform job duties. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing between 5 to 30 pounds as necessary.
