An intimate ladies’ luncheon was held March 31, 2026 at Lugano’s Worth Avenue boutique in support of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, bringing together patrons for an afternoon of elegance and philanthropy.

Hosted by Kravis Center supporters Beth Fishel, Martha Rodriguez, M.D. and Nancy Stone, guests were welcomed with a champagne reception before enjoying a curated lunch.

KRAVIS CENTER HOSTS FLORIDA CRYSTALS FOR CORPORATE PARTNERS LUNCHEON

The Kravis Center held the second installment of its Corporate Partners Business Speaker Series luncheon on Tuesday, February 10, featuring Andres Fanjul, Principal and Senior Executive of Fanjul Corp. and Florida Crystals Corporation, and Diego Luzuriaga, Ph.D., Vice President of Research and Development for Florida Crystals Corporation. Mr. Fanjul is also the Kravis Center’s Corporate Partners Executive Committee Chair. The event was held in the Kravis Center’s Gimelstob Ballroom in the Cohen Pavilion.

Over 100 Corporate Partners members, donors and guests attended the event to learn about Florida Crystals’ operations, which employ 8,100 people worldwide. The presentation focused on the company’s distinction of being the only Regenerative Organic Certified® sugarcane farm in the U.S.

KRAVIS CENTER WELCOMES TONY, EMMY AND GRAMMY-WINNING COMPOSER MARC SHAIMAN FOR ARTSMART LUNCH & LEARN FINALE

The Kravis Center concluded its 2026 ArtSmart Lunch & Learn Series on April 20 with a program featuring composer, lyricist and author Marc Shaiman in conversation with renowned theatre educator Beverly Blanchette in the Gimelstob Ballroom.

The luncheon brought together supporters for an engaging afternoon of storytelling, music and reflection centered around Shaiman’s new memoir, “Never Mind the Happy: Showbiz Stories from a Sore Winner.”

Shaiman shared candid insights from his five-decade career, from his early days in community theater, to his longtime collaboration with Bette Midler, his success in Hollywood film scoring which included working closely with Harry Connick, Jr. on “When Harry Met Sally” and his Tony Award-winning work on “Hairspray.” Moving between conversation and performance, he captivated the audience with humor, honesty and live musical moments at the piano.

KRAVIS CENTER BLENDS BROADWAY PERFORMANCES AND STUDENT TALENT AT EVENING OF GRATITUDE CELEBRATION

The Kravis Center welcomed members of its Dress Circle, Marquee Circle and Helen K. Persson Society for an evening of appreciation on April 13, transforming the Gimelstob Ballroom into a lively celebration of philanthropy, performance and education.

Approximately 270 guests gathered for the event, which featured cocktails, light bites and a dynamic program spotlighting both rising young artists and professional performers. The evening underscored the vital role donor support plays in sustaining the Kravis Center’s world-class programming and robust education initiatives.

DESIGN THROUGH THE DECADES: ELLIE CULLMAN BRINGS TIMELESS INTERIORS TO LIFE AT KRAVIS CENTER LUNCH & LEARN

From Park Avenue elegance to Palm Beach sophistication, acclaimed interior designer Ellie Cullman transported audiences through four decades of design at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on March 23. The 2026 ArtSmart Lunch & Learn Series continued with “Tradition Redefined: Designing Through the Decades,” offering an inside look at some of the nation’s most refined residential interiors. The luncheon was sponsored by Patricia and Edward Falkenberg and Bonnie and Tom Strauss.

Cullman, founder of Cullman & Kravis Interiors, shared a curated portfolio of the firm’s most significant projects, illustrating how thoughtful design balances tradition, functionality and evolving personal style.

The program marked the third installment of the Kravis Center’s 2026 Lunch & Learn series, which combines engaging conversations with a refined midday dining experience.

The Kravis Center was transformed into a world of wonder and illusion on Thursday, March 5, as a sold-out crowd of 500 guests gathered for its annual Gala, “The Conjurer’s Ball: An Evening of Illusion and Magic.” The black-tie evening featured a spellbinding performance by Tony Award winner and Grammy-nominated singer Nicole Scherzinger and raised funds in support of the Kravis Center’s artistic and education programs.

KRAVIS CENTER’S CORPORATE PARTNERS LUNCHEON SPOTLIGHTS THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION

The Kravis Center held the final installment of its Corporate Partners Business Speaker Series on Monday, March 9. More than 100 members, donors and guests attended the event to hear from institutional experts about The Future of Education and Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders.

Panelists for the luncheon included Michael J. Burke, Superintendent of Palm Beach County School District; Dr. Joel Herbst, Superintendent of Schools for Florida Atlantic Laboratory Schools; Dr. Denise Spirou, Head of School for The Greene School; and Sari Weltmann, Junior High Principal and Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction at American Heritage Schools. The panel was moderated by Ava Parker, J.D., President of Palm Beach State College and a Kravis Center Board member.

The 2026 ArtSmart Lunch & Learn Series continued with a session exploring the life of one of Hollywood’s most complex icons. Film historian and New York Times bestselling biographer Scott Eyman discussed his latest book, “Joan Crawford: A Woman’s Face,” in conversation with author and photographer Steven Caras in the Gimelstob Ballroom of the Cohen Pavilion.

The program marked the second of four presentations in the Kravis Center’s 2026 Lunch & Learn season, which blends engaging conversation with a refined midday dining experience.

The program combined scholarship, performance and storytelling to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The event was sponsored by the Michael and Margaret Picotte Foundation and featured performances by Dreyfoos School of the Arts students.

LONG-TIME SUPPORTER GEORGE MICHEL HONORED WITH ALEXANDER W. DREYFOOS AWARD AT KRAVIS CENTER’S 30th ANNUAL FOUNDERS’ DINNER

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts’ major donors and their guests attended a special evening on Wednesday, December 17, in honor of the Kravis Center’s Founder Members.  Board members and Life Trustees were also in attendance.  The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Alexander W. Dreyfoos Award to long-standing Kravis Center supporter, George Michel, who was honored for his lifetime of service to the performing arts center.

Guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail reception in the Harris Pre-Function Hall before entering the Gimelstob Ballroom for a three-course dinner, prepared by Kravis Events by Lessing’s Hospitality Group. The event was sponsored by Northern Trust for the 30th consecutive year. After dinner, guests enjoyed “Mark Twain Tonight!,” a performance by Richard Thomas. The show’s sponsor was Zelda Mason.
