Network Services Manager – Full-time – On-site

We are seeking a full-time Network Services Manager to join our team. In this role you are responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT network infrastructure and services at our vibrant performing arts center. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of all network systems that support both administrative operations and live performance technologies.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Manage firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and other network hardware.
  • Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Provide Help desk support in all IT areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to support AV and digital systems used in performances.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for IT/network services.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or minimum 5 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Ubiquiti, Extreme Networking or similar network systems.
  • Knowledge of Extreme Networks Fabric Networking or other fabric networking a plus.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Passion for the arts and nonprofit-mission-driven work is a plus.

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position requires extended periods of desk work using computers, networking tools, and diagnostic equipment. Visual focus is necessary for reading technical documents and monitoring systems. Occasional lifting of equipment up to 25 pounds and work in confined spaces such as server rooms or wiring closets may be required.

The work is primarily in a standard office environment, with time spent in server rooms, data centers, or network operations areas, which may have moderate noise and controlled climates. Some tasks may occur outdoors or in non-climate-controlled garages. After-hours, weekend work, and on-call availability may be needed for maintenance, upgrades, or critical incident response.
