Kravis Center March Line Up Welcomes Mandy Patinkin, Vienna Philharmonic,
MOMIX and More Musical and Magical Performances

West Palm Beach, FL – The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is keeping the name-dropping, show-stopping hits going this March as its 2023-2024 SEE IT LIVE! Season continues. From Broadway’s hottest-ticket shows TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL and the multi-Tony Award©-winning SIX; to the Kravis Center premiere of the unparalleled Vienna Philharmonic; the triple threat talent of Mandy Patinkin; mesmerizing acrobatic artistry of MOMIX; captivating illusionist VITALY; to the beloved sounds of THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS and beyond – the Kravis Center brings more non-stop entertainment for everyone. The Rotterdam Philharmonic is counted among Europe’s finest orchestras. Grammy® Award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov has made a spectacular ascent of the classical music world, quickly becoming the most sought-after pianist in the world. Lahav Shani is the youngest chief conductor in the Orchestra’s 100-year history. Their program includes excerpts from Prokofiev’s “Romeo & Juliet” and Mozart’s beloved, coming-of-age piano concerto, K. 271, once known as the Jeunehomme.

Pre-concert talks include interesting facts and background about the music and highlight elements of interest to all audience members and feature interviews with special guests from the ensembles.

One of the most energetic and engaging progressive acoustic bands, THE HILLBENDERS deliver a perfect mix of virtuoso musicianship and rock star vocals. A follow-up to their acoustic interpretation of The Who’s Tommy, “WhoGrass” will transport you with a career-spanning twist of one of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest bands through the wood and wire of bluegrass instrumentation.

The Vienna Philharmonic makes their long overdue Kravis Center debut. Appearing annually at Carnegie Hall, the orchestra has performed in only one other city in Florida. Widely considered the finest and most important orchestra in the world, Vienna Philharmonic will be joined by guest conductor, Franz Welser-Möst—who enjoys a particularly close and productive artistic partnership with the Vienna Philharmonic, regularly conducting the orchestra at home and on tour. Their two performances will open with Alban Berg’s Three Pieces for Orchestra, and includes Mahler’s epic Ninth Symphony, the last symphony he completed, which was premiered by the Vienna Philharmonic in 1912, as well as Bruckner’s visionary and transcendent ninth symphony – the last symphony on which he worked.

GYORGY LAKATOS PRESENTS GIPSY NATION FROM THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

The music is in their DNA, comprised around a family three Generation Gyorgy Lakatos solo Guitar and his band! Gipsy Nation is a Gipsy and Latin music group from Europe. They revisit in their own way, Latin music and traditional Gipsy music. Their universe, like their origin, is open, festive, colorful and resonates as an invitation to travel and dance. A mix between modernity and tradition, Gipsy Nation brings universal music to bridge cultures and generations. Filled with energy and emotion, traditional gypsy and flamenco music remain their foundation. Each member of the group brings his vision and sensitivity, which probably explains the universal side of their compositions: Gypsy, Flamenco, Pop, Rock and Blues.

STEP AFRIKA! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional West and Southern African dances and an array of dance and art forms. BRANDON GOLDBERG TRIO

South Florida jazz pianist Brandon Goldberg has been playing piano and wowing audiences since he was 3 years old. He performs with “ample dexterity and wise-beyond-his-years sound” (JAZZIZ). He has performed at numerous jazz festivals and New York’s most notable jazz clubs, including Dizzy’s Club, Birdland Theater and more. Most recently, he toured with the NYO Jazz, playing at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
