Education Assistant – Full-time – On-site

We are seeking a full-time Education Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will serve as support staff for the Education Department programs/events.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supports Education Department staff.
  • Provides support for education program registrations and reporting on the Tessitura Education Extension.
  • Provides photo editing and graphic design support for educational materials and student performance programs.
  • Provides program support for Fotokids residency projects and Changemakers Writing Course.
  • Administers expanded season-long evening/weekend Beyond the Stage Musical Presentations.
  • Provides sound file conversion and editing for programs including Beyond the Stage Musical Presentations.
  • Administers De George Academy evening private coaching sessions.
  • Administers Audition/Interview check-in for various education programs.
  • Arranges ArtsCamp interviews for all participants.
  • Presents S*T*A*R Series performance announcements, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provides projection and video editing support for the Dream Awards production

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in performing arts management/administration.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with students and teaching artists.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Professional, outgoing, and positive demeanor.
  • Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred.

 

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

This is a full-time, in-office position with occasional off-site responsibilities related to specific programs. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on event and program needs.

Must be able to sit for extended periods and move freely throughout the office environment to perform essential duties. Adequate visual and auditory acuity is required, including the ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods. The position also involves the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing between 5 and 30 pounds, as needed.
