Beyond The Stage Pre-Concert Talk 6:30pm-7pm Persson Hall Beyond The Stage, hosted by Dr. Michael O’Connor, gives the inside story of the music, musicians and composers for each classical performance. Pre-concert talks include interesting facts and background about the program, highlighting elements of interest to all audience members and feature interviews with special guests from the ensembles. Dr. O’Connor is the Chair of the Department of Music and a Professor of Music History at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Passionate about connecting music to history, culture, and the artistic choices behind great performances, Dr. O’Connor brings a thoughtful, accessible approach to listening—illuminating how composers, performers, and contexts shape what audiences experience.
