(West Palm Beach, Fla.) – The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts invites everyone to get ready for a day bursting with energy, excitement and imagination. The 3rd Annual Kravis Center Block Party welcomes residents and visitors of all ages to a spectacular community celebration. Guests can dive into a festival of FREE live performances, concerts, hands-on workshops and playful activities. The non-stop fun takes place Saturday, November 8 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes free parking throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to RSVP at kravis.org/kravis-center-block-party.
The event is rain or shine with activities happening indoors and outdoors throughout the Kravis Center campus. The exciting lineup features celebrated local and international artists, including a free headline concert at 6:30 p.m. by the GRAMMY®-nominated, New Orleans-based Afro-Indigenous funk collective, Cha Wa.
“The tremendous turnout for our block party each year has shown us the vital role the arts play in our community,” said Diane Quinn, CEO of the Kravis Center. “We are excited to invite everyone to come experience incredible music, create miniature kites, learn some new dance moves and celebrate our community together.”
Guests will preview the upcoming seasons of Ballet Palm Beach and Palm Beach Opera, hear the harmonious sounds of the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches and test their musicality at the Palm Beach Symphony Instrument Petting Zoo.
The fun continues with the hands-on opportunity to make traditional Guatemalan kites, discover the heartbeat of Mardi Gras with Tribal members of Cha Wa, shuffle in for Country fusion line dancing, or bring the kids for crafts, games and a sensory lounge provided by Rhythm & Hues and more.
