Step into a celebration of jazz as a force for identity and change.
JAZZ IN UNEXPECTED PLACES explores how jazz shaped the sound, style and spirit of Palm Beach County during the Civil Rights era and how this influence continues to this day. See rare vintage photos by Roberto Polillo that help tell the story of the iconic jazz musicians of the 60s and 70s. Wander through contemporary images by Anthony Bethel and listen to the stories of how jazz and the Civil Rights era impacted the lives of those who lived right here in Palm Beach County. Discover the music and culture of the time and contribute to our Community Tribute Wall with your own stories that make jazz a living thread.
