Publications Coordinator – Full-time – On-site

We are seeking a full-time Publications Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will manage production and printing of monthly playbills, quarterly news magazine, season brochure, education brochure, rack cards, and any other printed materials. This includes promotional items for the Marketing Department

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Complete coordination of monthly Playbill
  • Manage pre-press and printing for all printed collateral pieces. Coordinate with Creative Director and printer to bring project from conception to completion.
  • Maintain timeline for Marketing/Public Relations projects for weekly meeting, maintain timeline for publication pieces, including KOB subscription renewals, Classical Concert Series subscription renewals, etc.
  • Track publication’s expenses and communicate with Creative Director and Senior Director of Marketing & PR of any issues
  • Back-up for web page administration as needed
  • Back-up for graphic design as needed
  • Assist in distribution of printed materials on property and in the local community
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Excellent organizational and proofreading skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working on several projects at once in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Diligent, detail-oriented work habits.
  • Minimum two years professional experience in publication production.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing/PR or equivalent field experience.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills; detail-oriented; able to function in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficient in Windows-based applications with strong overall computer literacy.

 

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

This role is a full-time, in-office position. It requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer; the ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the campus as needed; the ability to use hands and fingers for typing, proofreading, and handling printed materials; visual acuity to review detailed print and digital content; and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds on occasion.
