We are looking for an Education Associate to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a school and afterschool program liaison. This position also coordinates various Education programs and the marketing of those programs for the Education Department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules and facilitates the Kravis-On-The-Road Series. Transports crew and equipment in a passenger van.
- Supports Senior Director of Education in all in-school-time presentation planning (i.e. S*T*A*R, Curtain Up for 5th Grade!, Lights Up for 6th Grade!).
- Coordinates the Arts Ambassadors program to support all in-school-time presentation utilization.
- Promotes and ensures that all in-school-time performances are filled.
- Coordinates Charter and District bus transportation for education programming and facilitates billing.
- Presents in-school-time performance announcements, as needed.
- Coordinates Kravis On Broadway Youth Initiative and Kravis On Broadway Access & Inclusion Project events and Teaching Artist workshops, as well as all Student Workshops and Master Classes (i.e. PEAK artists, Young Artists, KOB, etc.).
- Coordinates the Broadway Reach program, Education Appreciation Nights event, Kravis Center Dream Awards Ceremony.
- Collaborates with Music Director and Assistant Music Director to facilitate all music aspects of Kravis Center Dream Awards rehearsals and performance.
- Responsible for gathering all Education Programs Brochure assets.
- Supports the Senior Director of Education with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in performing arts management/administration preferred.
- Experience working with students, parents and teaching artists in a professional context.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Professional, outgoing and positive demeanor.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position is an in-office position with occasional off-site responsibilities related to specific programs. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on event and program needs.
Must be able to sit for extended periods and move freely throughout the office environment to perform essential duties. Adequate visual and auditory acuity is required, including the ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods. The position also involves the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing between 5 and 30 pounds, as needed.
