Security Shift Supervisor – Full-time – On-site

We are seeking a full-time Security Shift Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the Kravis Center, including the protection of facilities, employees, patrons, and assets. This position supervises Security Officers, assists with training, and ensures security operations are performed in compliance with organizational policies, applicable laws, and industry standards.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, direct, and support Security Officers during assigned shifts to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and post orders.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns; prepare accurate and timely Security Incident Reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with Front of House and other departments to ensure security needs are met during performances, events, and daily operations.
  • Coordinate and place police officers in designated areas during shows and special events to ensure adequate security coverage.
  • Monitor and operate security systems, including the control room, fire alarm panel, and surveillance camera systems, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct regular Deggy tours throughout the entire campus, including parking garages, on foot or by vehicle, using the Deggy electronic checkpoint verification device.
  • Report missing checkpoints, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly to management.
  • Receive and sign for deliveries and notify appropriate recipients in accordance with established procedures.
  • Issue, track, secure, and collect security keys, access devices, and radios.
  • Process lost and found property in compliance with departmental procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Issue Kravis Center identification badges to visitors in accordance with access-control policies.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented presence when interacting with patrons, employees, and visitors.
  • Answer Security Desk telephone calls and respond appropriately to inquiries and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational, safety, and security needs.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant employment history preferably in law enforcement, military service, or security.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Security “D” License in accordance with state requirements.
  • Prior supervisory experience in the security field is required.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, exercise sound judgment and remain calm and professional during emergencies.
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as well as overtime as needed.
  • Requires outstanding communication skills both written and verbal; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must present and maintain a neat and professional appearance, as well as a friendly and professional demeanor.

 

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

This full-time position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods; perform foot patrols both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; sit, bend, reach, and climb stairs while moving throughout the campus; and operate security systems, radios, and computer equipment. The role requires sufficient visual and auditory acuity to monitor surroundings, identify potential safety or security concerns, and respond to alarms. The Security Supervisor must be able to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 30–50 pounds.

 

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $23.22
