Michael R. Troise
Michael Troise is the former Auction Director for NY Wines/Christie’s Fine and Rare Wine Department and an expert with nearly 50 years experience tasting, buying and brokering fine and rare wines from vintages dating as far back as the late eighteenth century. Accordingly, his wine seminars, tastings and master classes enjoy wide acclaim and popularity.
One of the most respected and in demand guest speakers and charity auctioneers in the wine world, Mr. Troise is the current Auction Advisor for the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in Palm Beach, the Itzhak and Toby Perlman Music Program, The Rusty Staub Foundation and numerous other private clubs, restaurants and organizations.
With a portfolio of clients that reaches across the globe, Mr. Troise is also a consultant in the private equity field of wine investment management and is a specialist in rare wine authentication and fraud detection, having been called on to testify as an expert witness in numerous such litigations across the country.
He sits on the board of many charitable organizations, is President of the Rusty Staub Foundation, Bailli Honoraire for the International Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, holds the rank of Officier Commandeur in the International Chevaliers du Tastevin, Commandeur of the Commanderie de Bordeaux and is a retired member of both the International Wine and Food Society and Compagnons de Beaujolais.
In 2014, in recognition for his exemplary leadership and charitable contributions, Michael Troise was awarded the prestigious International Tastevin d’Or.
