The New World Symphony – co-founded by Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas and Lin and Ted Arison – has established itself as America’s Orchestral Academy, performing in leading venues around the world. Veteran conductor David Robertson occupies some of the most prominent platforms on the international music scene. Michelle Cann is the preeminent interpreter of the music of Florence Price, and holds the inaugural Sokoloff Chair in Piano Studies at Curtis Institute of Music. NWS Conducting Fellow Chad Goodman will kick off the program with Kodály’s thrilling Dances of Galanta.
