Nov 9, 2017 - Nov 10, 2017 | Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. Playhouse
Tony Award-winning poet Lemon Andersen’s new solo work, When Aliens Fall from the Sky, is a performance art piece comprised of 13 poems/journeys from real citizens, both documented and not, who live in what he calls “the bone marrow of our nation.” The Brooklyn-born actor, who first garnered national attention in Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam, weaves rhymes and speaks a harsh but witty truth through these complex characters to shine a spotlight on America’s identity crisis.
This PEAK performance is made possible by a grant from the
MLDauray Arts Initiative in honor of Leonard and Sophie Davis
Guests attending performances in the Rinker Playhouse will receive a ticket voucher for one complimentary beverage. (Underage guests will be offered a non-alcoholic selection.)
