women dancers siting on floor while one female dancer is posing while being held onto by others dancers

(PEAK)

Feb 8, 2019 - Feb 9, 2019 | Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. Playhouse

Themes that resonate with all races, such as seeking purpose, the value of the journey and the power of identity, are explored through African-American playwrights in Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Body Talk. Formed 50 years ago to create opportunities for dancers of color, the world-touring troupe won the prestigious Bessie Award in 2016.

Guests attending this performance in the Rinker Playhouse will receive a ticket voucher for one complimentary beverage. (Underage guests will be offered a non-alcoholic selection.)

This PEAK performance is made possible by a grant from the  MLDauray Arts Initiative in honor of Leonard and Sophie Davis

Beyond the Stage: Join us for a free post-performance talk by Steven Caras on February 8.
