Kravis-On-The-Road

Kravis On The Road Bus

For the 13th consecutive school year, Kravis-on-the-Road is taking arts education programming into the classroom and into the lives of many students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience live theatre. The array of top quality performances brings stories to life, celebrates diverse cultures of the world and addresses character education.

Here's how it works:
1.) If you would like to host a performance at your school, please call the Kravis Center Education Hotline at 561-651-4251. (Please keep in mind that the touring productions may have minor technical requirements that will need to be accommodated by your school’s performance space.)

2.) In order to receive a performance free-of-charge at your school, you will need to complete a Post-Performance Unit of Study and submit that unit to the Kravis Center no later than four weeks following the date of performance.

Admission is free-of-charge for students and chaperones.

Bussing for Palm Beach County public schools is provided by the Kravis Center.

(See the "Transportation Info" link on the top of the S*T*A*R Series page for more information.)
Bussing and Transportation sponsored by

Glenis Redmond stomps, dances, shouts and sings her poetry across the stage! Her poetry traces her own story, beginning with the immediate people in her life. Poems such as “Mama’s Magic” and “Not My Brother” detail not only her love for those close to her, but tell a historical narrative. The etymology of the word “tributary” appropriately means “one who pays tribute” it also means a “stream that flows into a larger body.” Glenis’ performances of her poetry serve as a poetic link, becoming a small stream of her ancestry; acting as tributary, unknowingly connected to a greater ebb and flow. *See Teacher Professional Development Workshop on page 20, entitled, “Poetry Off The Page."
