Play A Part
With over 700 volunteers, the Kravis Center knows that the show would not go on without the dedicated corps of people who donate their valuable time to the Center. Many volunteers have been with the Center since opening night while each day new volunteers are joining the ranks and becoming an integral part of this vibrant theatre.
Kravis Center volunteers provide invaluable assistance in a number of ways including serving on the board of directors, data entry, ushering, acting as tour guides, and assisting individual departments in a variety of operational functions.
Most volunteers give of their time to the Kravis Center as ushers. To become eligible, volunteers must go through 10 hours of usher training where they learn specific information about the theatre such as the locations of emergency exits, seating numbers and medical emergency assistance.
At the end of every busy season, volunteers and staff look forward to the annual Volunteer Salute, the Kravis Center’s way of saying thank you to each and every volunteer. Dinner and dancing always highlights this festive evening as well as the presentation of awards including the Volunteer of the Year.
