19th Annual Reach for the Stars Commemorative Art Contest

The Nineteenth Annual Reach for the Stars Benefit featuring “Dancing for the S.T.A.R.’s” for next year is underway! This celebration of food and wine by local area restaurants begins with a ballroom dance competition featuring local personalities, followed by an evening of music, and food and wine selections from some of the best restaurants in our area.

Each year the Young Friends of the Kravis Center hosts the Commemorative Student Art Contest as part of this event. The contest is open to all students age 18 and under. The theme for this year is “The Magic of Dance”. Encourage students to have fun with the theme and feel free to incorporate the different aspects of the event. For example, use food and ballroom dancing as part of the artwork.

The top three winners will be given cash awards along with matching awards for their teacher’s classroom. The 1st place artwork will be used on collateral materials (newspapers, programs, flyers etc.) and then auctioned off live at the annual event. All proceeds from this event go to the S*T*A*R (Students and Teachers Arts Resource) Series and education programs at the Kravis Center.
